CAMPUS FAQ's
CAMPUS Questions & Answers
Are students in cohort by age?
Cohorts are created by grade level/age, but there is some flexibility for families wanting to create cohorts around their “social bubbles.”
Are children required to wear masks?
Child Care Licensing provides the following guidelines for us to follow:
If we move back to phase 3 does the program stop?
We will be running the program under a child care license so no matter what phase the governor has us in the program will be able to continue.
Can you drop the program, like if the kids go back to school at any time?
Yes. If the drop date occurs after tuition has been paid, a credit will be applied to your Cutting Edge account that will be good towards any future program classes.
Does a parent have to go into the building to drop off?
Our instructors will meet the students in front of the building to check them in. Parents will have the opportunity to discuss concerns/questions with instructors at that time. Only staff and students will be permitted in the building.
What precautions is Cutting Edge taking to mitigate the spread of COVID-19?
A safe, healthy environment for students and staff is our top priority. You can see all of the changes we have made in response to COVID-19 here on our website. You can also review Cutting Edge’s COVID-19 Preparedness & Response Plan
Is there any flexibility with choosing sessions/days, week to week?
We are asking that you have a pretty firm idea of which sessions you want before we begin. The reason being, we want to keep the cohorts of students/instructors consistent to minimize exposure/spread of COVID-19. That is the direction we are getting from both the health department and child care licensing. That being said, we also know the first few weeks will be bumpy and will need flexibility. If you decide the days/times you selected are not manageable, we will certainly work with you to find the best fit.
If you sign up for a specific day of the week, can you ever switch your day?
We know schedules will be tricky to hammer down early. We will be flexible through September as kids settle into the new routines with their classroom teachers
Are there any options for before/aftercare?
Yes. We will have staff in the building until 4:00, possibly later if needed. We will have a better idea of what we can offer as we get closer to our start date, but we can definitely work with your needs.
Registration info says you will begin sessions on 8/24. How will that work for the kids that will not start school until 9/8?
We have updated that start date to 9/21, but that will even depend on where we are with child care licensing. We had hoped to have 2 weeks with the students to establish routines and protocols before introducing their school work. I have no doubt we will be able to get them acclimated quickly though. We will stay in touch to keep registered families up to date on our start date.
